Chickenshed is delighted to welcome the incredible Madeline Bell to its main stage this July for a special evening celebrating her landmark birthday!During the course of the evening, Madeline will share a glimpse into her amazing career, both spoken and sung, hosted by Chickenshed co-founder Jo Collins and accompanied by Strictly Come Dancing's Dave Arch on piano.Madeline has enjoyed a truly unique career, recording and performing with everyone from Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Dusty Springfield to Freddie Mercury, Donna Summer and Jeff Beck.Her voice can be heard providing iconic backing vocals on Joe Cockers With A Little Help From My Friends, The Rolling Stones You Cant Always Get What You Want and Elton Johns Border Song, but perhaps she is best known as the lead singer for the band Blue Mink, achieving major success with their debut single Melting Pot.In an unrivalled career, spanning nearly sixty years, Madeline Bell has got some stories to tell and some songs to sing! This is a very special opportunity to see, hear and speak with someone who is part of the story of the music we have all grown up with.
