The play focuses on Mary Johnson, along with her two best friends Gloria and Susanna. They demonstrate female solidarity whilst they continually fight for black womens rights in London.Based in 2019, they look back to significant events in black British history such as the Black Peoples Day of Action in 1981 and how this impacts current and future generations. A family-run hair salon where music plays, conversation flows, and history is made. This all black female story shows endless courage and determination, reminding us how powerful women can be alone, but together are even greater and stronger.
