Dinner and Jazz with Guy Barker and Friends at Royal Albert Hall

Join acclaimed bandleader, trumpeter and composer Guy Barker for a relaxing evening of music, food and conversation.

Enjoy a three-course dinner in the Elgar Room before settling down to an intimate set of live jazz from Guy and two of his most favourite musicians: clarinettist Giacomo Smith and vocalist/pianist Ian Shaw, interspersed with anecdotes and repartee from the three close friends.

Guy Barker’s career has taken him from jazz soloist and sideman, to bandleader, composer and latterly one of the most in-demand arrangers in Europe, with forays into theatre and movies. Over the years he has toured and performed with a staggering array of artists, including the likes of Quincy Jones, Ornette Coleman, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Van Morrison, Grace Jones, and many more. So, as you can imagine, he has some stories to tell!

This event will conclude with a Q&A, during which the audience will be invited to ask questions.
