THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDONS BA (HONS) DANCE: URBAN PRACTICE DEGREE COURSE IS PROUD TO PRESENT THEIR 13TH YEAR ANNUAL COLL!DEThe event showcases the high quality and versatile talent of the Dance: Urban Practice degree students as well as featuring graduates and external guest artists. Hosted by b-girl, choreographer, and UEL guest lecturer Sunanda Biwas (b-girl Sun Sun), the evening will feature choreographic work from first year and final year students, as well as our performance company, the UEL Dance Collective, this year choreographed by invited industry guest choreographers Emma Houstxn and Uchenna Dance. The show will also include some invited UEL graduates who are continuously producing outstanding artistic work as well as some special guests. The show is the finale of the students COLL!DE festival; a week-long showcase of battle events, Final Project sharings, outreach workshops, and guest speaker sessions, all co-produced by the Level 5 students.The BA (Hons) Dance: Urban Practice, is a ground-breaking course that continues to increase in popularity nationally and internationally since it started in 2007. This vibrant and distinctive course offers students the chance to study with a dynamic and specialist skilled dance team in a great location that is the cultural hub of East London. The course teaches a wide range of dance forms, such as hip-hop, club and funk styles, and international forms including capoeira, African contemporary, Afro-house, bharata natyam, kathak and kalaripayattu.
