“Where All Roses Go”
In an energetic exploration of the joy and despair of human love, the concert unites a diverse collection of choral music spanning 500 years, from some of the earliest known polyphonic writing through to new compositions for the album and the concert.
Notable arrangements and commissions written especially for Apollo5 include works by Paul Smith, Taylor Scott Davis and Fraser Wilson. These are juxtaposed with pieces by composers as broad-ranging as William Byrd, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, Gerald Finzi and Michael McGlynn.
Praised for their powerful singing and distinctive sound, the award-winning British vocal ensemble Apollo5 proves how dynamic only five voices can be. Whether performing jazz, pop, classical or even early sacred music, they are known for their exceptional communication with audiences. Apollo5 enjoys a busy world-wide concert diary, as well as being committed to providing inspiring musical opportunities for young people and communities.
Apollo5 are part of the VOCES8 Foundation and are based at the VOCES8 Centre.
