Synopsis:
As a priest, for years, Mervyn Beresford has stood over the graves of many and offered comfort to their grieving loved ones, but he himself cannot find peace. Along with lifelong friends Wes, and Sadie they have sought to be a beacon of light to their community but they too harbour a shared past with dark secrets. In his confessional Father Beresford has absolved many, cannot shake off his own feelings of guilt and shame. One night after the memorial service of a close friend, Mervyn, Wes, and Sadie share a drink while thinking of their old friend, but their reminiscing is interrupted and their lives shattered when a random burglary sets off a tragic chain of events that challenges each of them to explore the true meaning of absolution and discover what they each have to do in order to receive it. This is a story of self-discovery, and the journey to inner peace which requires honesty, transparency, and vulnerability.
