'I learned that I like just a splash of milk, and even then, you have to be careful it isn’t off.'
Sunny is back at home in their childhood bedroom after a not-so-great couple of years, will their quest to find love be fruitful or end in disaster like so many times before.
A Splash of Milk exposes the harsh realities of being a person of colour within the already marginalised queer community and the racism that lies within. A queer (almost) love story, with just a sprinkle of… racism, sass and humour, A Splash of Milk explores what it means to be part of the global majority as well as being queer and how this affects your relationship with the queer community itself.
We follow Sunny, a queer person of colour struggling with where they fit in within the queer community on a journey from their childhood bedroom through to several individual experiences of racism and ignorance queer people of colour have faced. This 4-star show comes to the Hope after a successful Camden Fringe 2022 run.
