This December, Youth Music Theater UK will be five years old. Since they arrived on the scene in 2003, they've worked with nearly 5000 young people on almost a hundred innovative and unique music theatre projects in all corners of the UK. They've grown to be a truly national company, with offices and staff in London, Edinburgh and Belfast, producing ten full-scale musicals, eight Studio workshops and several Outreach projects each year, run by some of the best artistic staff in the UK and, occasionally, from around the world.

So, to celebrate, YMT thought they'd treat themselves to a bit of a makeover.

Over the coming weeks, you'll see their brand new look being phased in across everything they do. There's a funky new logo, to start with.

It's designed to be bold, fresh and energetic - just like the work they do.

Then, in the new year, you'll see the biggest change - an impressive new website, designed to be clearer, easier to use and much more informative. They listened to your ideas, so they'll be adding lots of exciting new features. They've already added online audition booking, and soon you'll see new photo and video galleries, interactivity, and a lot more besides. You can see a preview of the new site now by using the new web address: www.youthmusictheatreuk.org

A lot is happening behind the scenes too. They're streamling and simplifying all of their printed material - things like leaflets, forms and guidebooks - to make them more relevant and easier to understand. Their leaflets, stationery and promotional material will also get a fresh look to match the website. You'll hear them talking more about 'YMT' than 'YMT: UK' - it's far easier to say!

It will take a while to phase all of this in, so you'll probably see both their old and new 'looks' for a while. But soon you'll start to fully experience the new YMT, and all the benefits that come with it - more information, more interactivity, and more fun!

Here's to the next five years!
