Theatrica Ltd. in association with Cheltenham Everyman Theatre is delighted to announce the World Premiere of new British musical The Man Inside starring Dave Willetts, which will play at the Landor Theatre from Wednesday 12 March to Saturday 29 March 2014, following previews at Cheltenham Everyman Theatre. On sale now.

Eminent doctor and scientist Dr Jekyll's life's work is devoted to helping those in turmoil. Through research and development he holds a mirror to those who pursue self interest and personal desires by means of crime or terror, then choose to blame society for their actions. But when his experiments start taking him to increasingly dark places, will he be able to hold on to the goodness he believes in, or will he be lost to a world of deception, self indulgence and secret passions? A contemporary re-imagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Man Inside is a provocative, disturbing and unexpected new musical set between two conflicting worlds; reality or imagination, good or evil, victim or madman?

The complex character of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde will be brought to life by Evening Standard Award winner Dave Willetts, who for over 25 years has been one of the UK's leading musical theatre stars. He was the first person in the world to have played both the roles of Jean Valjean and The Phantom in the West End's two longest running musicals Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. His other credits include leading roles in Aspects of Love at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Sunset Boulevard at the Comedy Theatre, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Theatre Royal Haymarket, UK Tours of South Pacific and 42nd Street, Sweeney Todd at Leicester Haymarket, Ragtime at the Piccadilly Theatre and the 25th Anniversary production of Cats.

Further casting to be announced.

The Landor Theatre is one of London's most adventurous and attractive little theatres. Starting life in 1994 as the Cage Theatre, for almost 20 years it has developed an extraordinary reputation for programming new and exciting work, with a commitment to housing new and rarely seen musicals in an intimate setting.

The Man Inside has music by Tony Rees and book and lyrics by Tony Rees and Gary Young, with additional material by Dave Willetts and orchestrations by Matheson Bayley. It is directed by Robert McWhir, with musical direction by Matheson Bayley. It is produced by Theatrica Ltd. in collaboration with The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.
