The cast of the award winning West End musical Jersey Boys showed off their toe-tapping skills to encourage people across London to take part in the first ever Comic Relief Danceathon which will be sweeping the nation this Sunday 8th March.

Cast members Michael Watson, Jon Boydon, Matt Nalton and Stuart King buttoned up their blazers and posed with Red Noses to lead the charge in support of the campaign. Joined by the London cast in vests, trainers and sweatbands, all 12 cast members stretched and struck a pose to warm up for Danceathon.

Jon Boydon, who plays Tommy DeVito, said: "Red Nose Day helps amazing people all over the UK and across Africa, and has such an element of fun to it that people aren't scared to get involved and do something ridiculous.

"If anything, the Danceathon means you don't have to pay for a gym membership! It's a hell of a workout and good for fitness. Do it! If you can shake what your mamma gave you, then get along."

The Comic Relief Danceathon will see fundraisers don their dancing shoes and groove non-stop for six hours, all in the name of charity. The marathon dance frenzy will take place on Sunday 8th March at the SSE Arena Wembley, and in local dance schools, village halls, workplaces and living rooms across the country where people can follow the star-studded action live on the BBC Red Button.

To really look the part, fundraisers can pick up the official Red Nose Day t-shirt from TK Maxx, and of course Red Noses from Sainsbury's. Fundraising kits, giving pages and all the latest Red Nose Day stories are available from rednoseday.com.

Michael Watson, who plays Frankie Valli, added: "We're doing a show on March 8th, but we will definitely have the Red Button on during the interval to see how you're getting on!"

Stuart King, who plays Hank Majewski and other characters said: "Everybody should get involved and do their part, because the work Red Nose Day does is incredible."

Winner of 55 awards, including the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, Jersey Boys is at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, currently booking through to 25th October 2015.
