Variety is reporting that after a two-week meeting period between British Equity members and the Society of London Theaters that they will soon permit Sunday performances.
At the moment, shows in the UK run only Monday through Saturday due to old UK labor laws.
A few shows including The Lion King, Ivanov, Stomp and others have negotiated their own separate agreements already, which involve paying performers additional funds. Those shows are reported to sell quite well.
The deal is said to be coming "sooner rather than later" as they work out the details of extra pay for all involved.
