On August 24th, BBC Radio 2 will present a special "Friday Night Is Music Night Gala" celebrating the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
"Denise Van Outen hosts an evening that focuses on Webber's latest Top Ten - a decade of his most recent productions. With music from the new shows he's written and those he's revived and produced, including: Bombay Dreams; Whistle Down the Wind; The Beautiful Game; Tell Me On A Sunday; The Woman in White; Evita; The Sound of Music and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," state press notes. The BBC will present the event with the Really Useful Group.
Among the artists expected to appear include: Lee Mead from Joseph; Connie Fisher from The Sound of Music; Stephen Gately, Preeya Kalidas, Elena Roger, Dean Collinson, Aoife Mullholland, Lorna Want and Duncan James. The show is being recorded on Sunday the 19th August.
