It appears that the general consensus on this duo was that they were somewhat cold, but then the chemistry between Menzel/Dallimore was certainly difficult to top. There was a lot of pressure put on Ellis, as she had extremely big shoes to fill; perhaps by damaging her voice in her first show as a principal, and consequently missing several shows during her first month, she missed out on a vital opportunity to bond with Dallimore. Whatever the reason, this pair, despite giving enjoyable performances on an individual level, were never quite able to connect with each other and create the true feeling of friendship and sincerity their characters required.
