An elegant night of West End cabaret entitled A Night in Wonderland is in a small dilemma as a result of the volcanic ash cloud.
The show boasting pure musical excellence features West End performers Charlotte Wakefield (Spring Awakening), Chlöe Hart (fresh from playing Tracy Turnblad in the closing production of Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre) and Jeremy Legat (Boq from Wicked) - but because of the current volcanic ash cloud flight problem, Hart is stuck in New York.
Chloe is being held back along with many other stranded passengers by US airlines and is being told she may not be arriving back until Friday or possibly Sunday - the opening night of the production at Hotel du Vin in Brighton, UK.
Chloe said: "I saw on the news that our carrier are resuming flights on Friday which would obviously mean we would be back sometime Friday or Saturday, but due to the back log of stranded passengers we may not be back until Sunday or later. This would be awful."
Tom O'Connell, the producer of A Night in Wonderland, has been quick to think on his feet: "I am obviously frustrated with The Situation and I know a number of people who would be disappointed to not see Chloe perform on Sunday. However, we have contacted a number of West End stars including the original Tracy from Hairspray, LeAnne Jones, and Lucy May Barker from Spring Awakening UK, so we are covered if Chloe doesn't make it back. The show must go on - whatever the outcome!"
