Leading West End performers Oliver Savile (Wicked), Christina Bennington (Bat Out Of Hell), Nadim Naaman (Phantom of the Opera) & Charlotte Wakefield (Crazy For You) performed 3 songs from Oliver Boito's debut EP Notes Of Love at Crazy Coqs as part of an evening of new Musical Theatre on Sunday 16th September 2018.
The concert, produced by lyricist Mark Petty and half of writing team Anderson & Petty, showcased new works by writers Webborn & Finn, Marlais & Young, Anderson & Petty, Kansley & Lidert and Oliver Boito.
Other performers featured on the night were Lauren James Ray and Nathaniel Morrison.
Musical Direction by Will Sharma, Megan Landeg on percussion and Mark Fincham on Bass.
Amongst the ever-growing effort to support and produce new writing, the concert shone a light on new original music by up and coming writers within the industry, featuring a diverse range of songs; a rare coming together of a collective of creatives and performers to create a glimpse into new works being written by emerging talent.
Oliver Savile commented on the night "It's such an honour to get to do new stuff, and we all agree it's so liberating, so thank you everyone for writing it"
Notes Of Love was released earlier this year with recordings by Oliver Savile, Jodie Steele, Stuart Matthew Price, Rob Houchen, Siubhan Harrison, Sharon Sexton & Sooz Kempner.
The EP is an exploration into the power of song to express the inexpressible, and touch on the emotive forces and impact of love in its many guises.
The songs range from epic and timeless orchestral arrangements to the more contemporary purity of piano and solo string, each composed to deliver evocative stories, melodies and emotions that stir imagination and grab the heart.
Notes Of Love is available to download and stream online.
