Last month, on 16 February, Samuel Haughton (Top Hat) took to the stage at a sold-out Above The Arts Cabaret Club with his show L IS FOR... , inspired by the famous song "L-O-V-E." Using the lyrics to Nat King Cole's jazz standard as a map, Samuel guided his audience through a whole range of emotions one feels thanks to that many splendid thing: love.
Accompanied on the piano by his musical director, Jordan Clarke (Assassins, Showstopper!), the set list included "Time Stops" from Big Fish, "Losing My Mind" from Follies, and "People" from Funny Girl.
Samuel was also joined by close friend Heather Broderick (London Road), who shared her experiences and musings on love, relationships and her impending nuptials. The two then performed the beautiful "You Matter to Me" from Waitress.
