Traditionally, people don't seek a career in theatre for the long-term job security, but The Phantom of the Opera has been breaking traditions ever since its 1986 West End opening. For 25 years, the West End's Monsieur Reyer, Phillip Griffiths, has called Her Majesty's Theatre his workplace. Anniversary well wishes have been arriving from PHANTOM's Broadway company and he took a moment to thank everyone for their kind words.

Far beneath the majesty and splendor of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protegee Christine Daae is so strong that even her heart cannot resist.
