Ahead of their opening night on 1 September, Eugenius! hosted an acoustic media night to share previews of some songs and a Q&A with the cast and creators. Eugenius! is returning to The Other Palace for a limited run this September.
At the gig, the new and returning cast members sang four songs, interspersed with some words from composers Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins and producer Warwick Davis. Rob Houchen wowed with the solo version of "Comic Book Kind of Love" while Laura Baldwin brought the house down with "The Future is Bright".
A special hit was the full cast singing "Go Eugenius!" after the choreographer Aaron Renfree taught everyone there some of the most basic moves. A Q&A with Adams, Wilkins and the cast followed, during which audience members enquired about what's new in this production, the origins of the show, and more.
Eugenius! tells the story of a young teenage boy named Eugene who creates his own comic book movie in Hollywood. He finds the superhero within, saves the world, and also manages to find time to fall in love.
