Tonic Theatre has just announced their fifth Tonic Celebrates event, featuring Olivier nominated actress Rosalie Craig and award-winning producer Danielle Tarento in conversation at The Other Palace on Friday 24 November.

Tonic Celebrates is a series of events foregrounding the achievements of inspirational women in theatre. Each event brings together a group of remarkable women, all of whom are leaders in their field, to discuss their careers, work, and successes. The first half of the evening is chaired by Tonic Theatre's Director Lucy Kerbel, before the floor is opened to the audience for questions.

In September 2018, Rosalie will be taking on the role of Bobbi, re-imagined for the first time as a woman, in Stephen Sondeim's musical Company, directed by Marianne Elliott, for her new theatre company Elliot & Harper Productions. Craig will be performing the role alongside Broadway legend Patti LuPone as Joanne. Rosalie's extensive theatre credits include: The Light Princess for which she won the Evening Standard Award for Best Actress in a Musical and was nominated for an Olivier Award; Rosalind in As You Like It; The Threepenny Opera and London Road - all for the National Theatre. Other theatre includes: City of Angels for the Donmar; Lady Macduff in Macbeth for Manchester International Festival, directed by Kenneth Branagh; Sylvia in the musical Finding Neverland and the title role in Miss Julie at Chichester Festival Theatre. Her film and TV credits include: London Road, Spooks, and Casanova.

Danielle is a freelance producer and casting director. She won Best Producer at the Off West End Awards 2012, was nominated Producer of the Year at the Stage Awards 2015 and was listed as one of the top ten producers of Musical Theatre in 2016 in The Stage. Last year she co-produced the first season of major musicals at Charing Cross Theatre including the revival of her multi-Award winning production of Titanic, which heads out on a UK and Ireland tour from April 2018, Ragtime (nominated: WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off West End Production and Best Musical Revival) and the European première of Maury Yeston's Death Takes a Holiday. Recently, she has been most recognised for her work at Southwark Playhouse including: Mother Courage and her Children, starring Josie Lawrence; the European première of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Allegro; Grey Gardens starring Sheila Hancock and Jenna Russell (nominated: Off West End Award for Best Musical Production and WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off West End Production); and Grand Hotel (winner: Off West End Award for Best Musical Production, nominated: WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off West End Production).

The fifth Tonic Celebrates follows previous successful events at Soho Theatre, National Theatre, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare's Globe and the Ambassador's Theatre.
