Sean Foley directs Griff Rhys Jones and Lee Mack in an adaptation of Molière's classic comedy The Miser at London's Garrick Theatre. Adapted by Foley and Phil Porter, The Miser is the rip-roaring comedy from one of France's greatest dramatists. Book tickets here from £32
First performed in 1668, The Miser follows the paranoid Harpagon, who is extremely fanatical about protecting his abundant wealth. Suspecting everyone as trying to steal his fortune, Harpagon will quite literally go to any length to protect his pennies.
Setting his sights on rich spouses for his children, he struggles when their true feelings about his skinflint nature are revealed. But what will prevail? Will it be the love for his money or for his children? Passions and purse-strings go head to head in this perfectly poignant comedy.
The cast also includes Saikat Ahamed, Ryan Gage, Simon Holmes, Andi Osho, Michael Webber, Ellie White and Katy Wix.
