The Journey - "Theatrical Gospel Concert" comes to the city of London

The Journey brings to life on stage the dramatic and powerful story of a people dispersed from the Iberian Peninsula to Western Africa, the Caribbean and the Americas. Their journey has been long but a people forgotten can now be a people remembered. A people who travelled through time and space found no rest, but still held on to that faith of eventually seeing "The Promised Land". The roots of their culture, echoes many of the traditions of Western Africa today and is celebrated in this magnificent musical work. The theatrical tapestry of song, spoken word and dance weaves an emotional and moving story of a fascinating people and an indomitable strength of spirit, courage and will to survive through all adversity.

Not to be missed, The Journey - A Theatrical Gospel Concert seen for the first time last year to sold out audiences in Canada, never before seen on stage, is coming to the city of London on 9th September, 2008 for a limited engagement to thrill and enlighten audiences again. With the recent recognition in March, 2007 of the 200th year anniversary of the abolishment of slavery, this production takes you along with them down the path that was walked before and after receiving freedom. This journey is a celebration of life and survival that will carry audiences along and leave them with a feeling of great hope for a better tomorrow.
