Live entertainment agency aka Promotions launches immersive online experience for West End production The Woman in Black.
Built in partnership with creative agency Underdog, the online experience offers a teaser of the frighteningly eerie theatre production. Launched on 29th October, the online experience utilises Facebook Connect, allowing users to enter the haunting world of The Woman In Black with a personalised touch.
Built in After Effects and Flash, the video uses a first person perspective to create a truly immersive experience. The video is designed to operate as a viral, with easy sharing across social networks.
It is now possible to personalise online trailers, crafting an individual story for each user that pulls in photos and information from Facebook.
The use of an online viral to promote West End theatre is a new innovation for bringing The Woman In Black to an entirely new audience. The show has been running for over twenty one years with a purported 7 million people having seen the show at the Fortune Theatre. The viral is carefully scripted to create intrigue without giving away the terrifying conclusion of the theatre production.
The viral launched on 29th October at www.thewomaninblack.com/experience.
Oliver Royds, General Manager of The Woman In Black said 'We are really excited and proud to be the first people in the industry to do this and it is great to give our followers something spooky for Halloween.'
