The Watermill Transfers TWELFTH NIGHT and BURKE AND HARE Announce Casting ImageThe Watermill Theatre will transfer two productions to London this autumn. Following the success of its run at The Watermill and its UK and international tour last year, The Watermill Ensemble will revive TWELFTH NIGHT at Wilton's Music Hall from 12 to 22 September. Renowned for its bold, progressive and collaborative approach to Shakespeare, The Watermill Ensemble, re-imagines TWELFTH NIGHT in the hedonistic 1920s, where prohibition is rife. Fused with innovative staging and actor-musicianship, the radical spirit of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald collides with the contemporary influence of Postmodern Jukebox to create a dizzying and beautiful version of Shakespeare's perfect play.

The Watermill Ensemble includes Victoria Blunt (Maria), Peter Dukes (Malvolio), Lillie Flynn (Olivia), Rebecca Lee (Viola), Emma McDonald (Antonia), Offue Okegbe (Feste),

Lauryn Redding (Sir Toby Belch), Ned Rudkins-Stow (Sebastian), Jamie Satterthwaite (Orsino) and Mike Slader (Aguecheek).

TWELFTH NIGHT is directed by Paul Hart and designed by Katie Lias. Sound design is by David Gregory, movement by Tom Jackson Greaves and musical direction by Ned Rudkins-Stow.

Tom Wentworth's black comedy, BURKE AND HARE, which premiered at The Watermill Theatre in spring this year and toured to 21 rural venues, is to be presented by Jermyn Street Theatre in a co-production. It runs from 28 November to 21 December as part of the theatre's Rebels season. The cast includes Katy Daghorn (Mrs Hare), Alex Parry (William Hare) and Hayden Wood (William Burke). The three actors take on a host of characters in a play that is as hysterical as it is historical. BURKE AND HARE is directed by Abigail Pickard Price, designed by Toots Butcher and lighting design is by Harry Armytage. The show was originally created by Jenny Wren Productions.

Commenting on the London transfers, The Watermill's Artistic Director, Paul Hart, says:
'Last year a staggering 278,000 people saw a Watermill production either on tour or in London - not bad for a 200-seat theatre in rural West Berkshire! It's a particular delight to be bringing these two productions to London to share with new audiences.'
