The Tony Award-Winning Hit Broadway Musical Presented by arrangement with JOSEF WEINBERGER LIMITED on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York

Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Highgate
23rd September 2010 - 31st October 2010
Press Night: Tuesday 28th September 2010 - 7.45pm

The very first fringe production of The Drowsy Chaperone, the hit musical comedy that won more Tony Awards on Broadway in 2006 than any other musical, is swooping into Highgate with sequin-drenched costumes, dazzling choreography and tons of laughs.

It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favourite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called "The Drowsy Chaperone," and the show magically bursts to life. Audiences are instantly immersed in the glamorous tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day.

The Drowsy Chaperone is a toe-tapping trip back to the golden age of musicals. Seen in the West End in 2007, Ovation and Alex Segal are proud to bring this award-winning musical back to the stage and introduce it to the fringe.
