They may not have been last year's winners, but JLS have already become one of X Factor's success stories, and surely proof that the groups category should not be axed.
By releasing their debut single Beat Again in the summer, rather than the competitive pre-Christmas period, they managed to achieve two weeks at number one and one of the
biggest pop hits of the year so far.
Follow-up single Everybody in Love is a slower, more romantic affair, positioning them clearly as an r&b boyband. It's not as instant as Beat Again, but it's a nice winter ballad, certainly good enough to entice plenty of young girls and mums alike to put the album on their Christmas lists.
It's been a while since the UK has had a successful boyband, and at last JLS have come
along to take on Take That... but will they still be playing arenas after 18 years, like their Mancunian elders?
What do you think?
