The show, directed by Christopher Luscombe, will open at Brighton's Theatre Royal on Dec. 20, 2012, and set out across the country through mid-summer with stops at 18 venues (so far), including the Bristol Hippodrome, New Wimbledon Theatre in London, the Manchester Opera House, Milton Keynes Theatre, and more.
Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror first played the Royal Court in 1973. The musical is about a pair of college sweethearts who end up stranded due to car trouble in front of Dr. Frank'n'Furter's mansion, where they encounter a slew of the doctor's strange guests. In 1975, the sci-fi/horror/comedy musical was made into the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It starred Tim Curry, Meat Loaf and more, and quickly gathered a cult following that continues to this day.
