Directed by Grandage, the production features set and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Paule Constable, and composer and sound designers Ben and Max Ringham.

The Michael Grandage Company website's synopsis reads: "Lysander loves Hermia and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. When Hermia's father insists she choose Demetrius as a suitor she escapes with Lysander into the surrounding forest where Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the Fairies are having their own battle of love. As the human and magical worlds collide mischief and chaos erupt as love at first sight proves a reality for some and makes an ass of others."

Fielding has appeared onstage in Much Ado About Nothing, Philistines, The Rose Tattoo, The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other at The National Theatre, An Enemy of the People at the Crucible, The Merchant of Venice at RSC, and more recently in the 2012 West End run of Zach Braff's play All New People. Her screen credits include TV's Wallander and Doctor Who, as well as The Knot, The Job Lot and more.

Kingsley's West End credits include Singin' in the Rain, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and High Society. She was nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance as Marlene Dietrich in Piaf in 2009, and received another Olivier nomination in 2012 for her portrayal of Lina Lamont in Singin' in the Rain. Her TV credits include The Bill and Hollyoaks.
