Emma Dyos for JW3 presents the World Premiere of BROKEN STRINGS, written and directed by Joe Wenborne, starring Steven Arnold and Linda Clark.

Following the death of her husband, Rose, is persuaded by her daughter, Susan, to move in with her and her husband David, who she has never got on with in their small two up two down. Rose believes Susan married be- neath herself, but because of his love for Susan, David reluctantly agrees to the idea. With tension in the house already at breaking point, Susan falls terminally ill. Her dying words to David Are; "Take care of Mum, promise me you won't put her in a home..."

BROKEN STRINGS is a heartwarming, dramatic, thought provoking and at times funny, story of how two people damaged by bereavement, finally discover the truth about themselves, begin to understand one another better and deal with the pain they are both going through.

BROKEN STRINGS written and directed by Joe Wemborne, will get its world premiere at the Tabard Theatre, West London for a three-week season from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 24 September. Press night is Wednesday 7 September at 7.30pm..

BROKEN STRINGS features two of the most endearing stage and TV actors in a "tour de force" of emotion.

Linda Clark played the 'Carrionite Witch' in Doctor Who, Jackie Busher in That Peter Kay Thing and Janet Dent in Coronation Street. One stage, she played Aunty Ivy in several national tours of Girls Night Out and its sequel, Girls' Night Out in lbiza, Rita in The ReAl Monty Keeps It Up.

About Joe Wenborne (Writer and Director)

"Aged four, I told a rude joke to my family. My father laughed, clipped me round the ear for being cheeky and sent me to bed. I learnt then that showbiz is quite tricky and audiences are fickle" - Joe Wenborne

After leaving school with no qualifications worth mentioning Joe tried various trades until he finally found the confidence to do what he had always wanted to. He has now been involved in the industry that he loves for over 30 years. He has performed, directed and produced both stage and TV shows for the world market, advised major artists on their careers and has written two highly acclaimed books on self development. He is a mentor and Fellow of The Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs and is a member of the Professional Speakers Association. BROKEN STRINGS is a play very close to Joe's heart and he freely admits that he has never been so excited about any previous project.
