Simon Day, Angela Thorne and More Set to Star in LADYKILLERS - Full Cast Announced!

Casting has today been announced for Graham Linehan's award-winning comic adaptation of The Ladykillers, which returns to the West End from 29 June. The new cast will include Ralf Little (The Royle Family), Simon Day (The Fast Show), Angela Thorne (To the Manor Born) and Olivier Award winning actors John Gordon Sinclair (She Loves Me and classic film Gregory's Girl) and Con O'Neill (Blood Brothers and Telstar). Chris McCalphy will reprise his role as One Round following the show's recent UK tour.

Based on the Ealing Comedy screenplay, this stage production has been adapted by Graham Linehan, best known for being the writer behind TV comedies Father Ted, The I.T. Crowd, Black Books and upcoming BBC 2 show Count Arthur Strong. Director Sean Foley is a multi award-winning stage director whose work in the West End includes The Play What I Wrote, Do You Come Here Often, Ducktastic and Pinter's People. He is to make his RSC debut next month with Thomas Middleton's A Mad World My Masters.

The Ladykillers broke all box office records at the Gielgud Theatre during its debut season. The production won the 2013 WhatsOnStage.com Award for Best New Comedy and was nominated for five Olivier Awards in 2012.

Simon Day will play Major Courtney. Simon was one of the acclaimed crew of comedians who created The Fast Show. Prior to this he worked with Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer on Big Night Out. As an actor his TV credits include New Tricks, Hustle and Skins and on film Shakespeare in Love, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and Run Fat Boy Run. His successful memoir Comedy and Error was published last year and followed by a UK tour of the same name. His own sitcom The Simon Day Show has had two series on Radio 4.

John Gordon Sinclair will play Professor Marcus. John won the Olivier Award for Best Actor for his performance in She Loves Me(West End). Other stage credits include The Producers, Absurd Person Singular (both West End) and The Invisible Man (Menier Chocolate Factory). On screen he is best known for his role in the iconic coming of age film Gregory's Girl. He will return to screens in June Starring alongside Brad Pitt in the thriller World War Z. His acclaimed debut novel Seventy Times Seven was published last year.

Ralf Little will play Harry. Ralf's TV credits include The Royle Family, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and most recentlyThe Café for Sky 1 which he co-wrote and which will return for a second series this year. His film credits include Michael Winterbottom's 24 Hour Party People and Telstar. On stage, he was nominated for an Olivier Award for his role in Presence (Royal Court). Other credits include Notes on Falling Leaves (Royal Court) and 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover (Bush Theatre). He is currently starring in The Death of Joe Egg at Liverpool Playhouse which will transfer to the Rose Theatre Kingston from 30 April.

Chris McCalphy will play One Round. Recent theatre credits include The Ladykillers (UK tour), The Madness of George III, Enjoy,The Letter (all West End/ UK tour) and You Can't Take It With You (Southwark Playhouse). TV credits include Five Daughters,Casualty and The Giblet Boys. Chris has also narrated various Natural History films for the BBC and The Discovery Channel as well as Voiceovers for Channel 4, BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, Aardman Animations and Radio 4.

Con O'Neill will play Louis. Con won the Olivier Award for Best Actor and was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance inBlood Brothers (West End/ Broadway). Other stage credits include Telstar (West End) for which he was nominated for an Olivier Award, Salome (Headlong, UK Tour), A View From A Bridge (Royal Exchange Theatre) for which he won the Manchester Theatre Award for Best Actor, Southwark Fair (National Theatre) and The Caretaker (Crucible Theatre/ Tricycle Theatre). His many recent TV credits include BBC 4 drama Margot, Wallander, Lewis and Criminal Justice.

Angela Thorne plays Mrs Wilberforce. Angela is best known for her performance as Marjory Frobisher in popular TV series To the Manor Born. Other TV appearances include Three Up Two Down, Anyone for Denis, Cold Comfort Farm and Wallander. Her extensive West End theatre credits include Ring Around the Moon, Quartet and Communicating Doors. Most recently she performed in The Last of the Duchess (Hampstead Theatre) and The Reporter (National Theatre).
