Live At Zedel, Brasserie Zedel's new music and entertainment concept, has released details of its exciting Autumn season. Launching in September 2016, the new programme will kick off with an official partnership with The Philharmonia Orchestra and the appointment of Scott Alan, as Artistic Director In Residence. Scott is an internationally acclaimed songwriter who has worked with some of the brightest stars of theatre, TV, film and recording. His varied programme includes the intimate pre-show 'coq-tails and Conversations' from likes of Mark Shenton, editor of The Stage alongside nights from West End Stars Julie Atherton and Simon Lipkin as well as performances from the likes of Carly Stenson, Oliver Tompsett and Lucie Jones.
Live At Zedel's mixture of cutting edge curation and expert programming will also showcase a food-themed week of entertainment in the Crazy Coqs featuring the likes of Grace Dent, Jay Rayner and Gizzie Erskine and a stellar comedy season including Katherine Ryan and Doc Brown. Other names taking part in the Autumn relaunch include Maria Friedman, Matt Cardle, Clare Teal & DENIM.
A unique collaboration between Corbin and King and United Agents, Live At Zedel is delighted to announce that it will become the official London partner venue for the Philharmonia Orchestra, alongside the Southbank Centre. The first time a classical orchestra is affiliated with a West End venue, the programme includes a series of monthly intimate concerts in the Crazy Coqs, culminating in a breath-taking one-off performance with a 23-piece line-up in the main Brasserie Space in early 2017.
'The Philharmonia is delighted to be working with Live at Zedel and United Agents to create this new and vibrant chamber music series. On 29 January, we will bring to the Brasserie's grand Art Deco space the extended forces of the Philharmonia's string section to create a spectacular dining experience never seen before in London. Whether a seasoned classical music fan or dipping your toe in the water for the first time, we're confident that this is the perfect way to enjoy the very best classical music on offer in London' James Williams, Director, UK Programme and Creative Projects, of the Philharmonia Orchestra.
In addition to the varied theatrical, cabaret and music programming, Live At Zedel will host a number of spoken word evenings with some of London's most witty and entertaining speakers and a monthly comedy night that will introduce the best in the scene to the Crazy Coqs.
Forming part of Corbin and King's London portfolio and with a historic Beaux Arts interior, Brasserie Zedel has transported the style and atmosphere of a grand Parisian brasserie to the heart of London. Tucked away across the hall from the main Brasserie lies one of London's most intimate and characterful cabaret venues, The Crazy Coqs. As of September, it will be relaunched and all programming taken over by United Agents, the UK's foremost literary and talent agency.
Presenting a thrilling programme of regular house events, one-off performances from international stars and London's hottest new talent, Live At Zedel is set to bring together all art forms in one extraordinary space.
