Starring drag queen Bette Rinse as Sinderfella and Big Brother's Kat (the Cookie Monster) as Fairy Gone Wong, adults-only pantomime Sinderfella is to get a West End season in Leicester Square Theatre's Basement theatre from Thursday December 4 to Wednesday December 30. There is no show December 17th.
A modern twist on the classic fairytale "Cinderella, which this year celebrates its 200th anniversary, Sinderfella is a bawdy mix of fabulous cross-dressing near-knuckle comedy, lots of audience participation and much festive cheer.
The actress scheduled to play Cinderella for the night hasn't turned in so its left to Fairy Godmother, Fairy Gone Wong?("Cookie Monster" Kat from "Big Brother") to conjurer up a plan. It just so happens that loitering around the bar is Drag Queen Bette Rinse, who has always dreamed of playing Cinderella, and she steps in and save the day. Featuring the feel-good party anthems "It's Raining Men", "Time Of My Life", "Like A Virgin", "Amarillo" and Abba's "Dancing Queen", this hilarious pantomime is sure to kick-start Christmas with a bang!
Bette?Rinse (Sinderfella) has been a glamorous drag queen on the London gay pub circuit for four years. Describing herself as "just an old-fashioned girl", Bette starred in four episodes of the BBC?series "Pass It?On", and also appeared on "The Big?Breakfast", "Children in?Need", "Dreams", "This LIfe" and "Battersea Dog's?Home" (BBC?1).
Kat (Fairy Gone Wong) became a household name as an unforgetable housemate on Big Brother series 8 - largely because of her infectious sense of humour and her love of cookies! Born Kathreya 'Kat' Kasisopa, she is a Thai massage therapist, born in Thailand. She now lives in South East London. Kat says she's addicted to cookies and she carries a cookie jar with her wherever she goes. Kat is a Buddhist, she believes strongly in karma, and will do anything to avoid an argument. She loves wearing bright clothing, and wears platform boots at all times to give her extra height as she is only 5 ft tall. She wants to be reincarnated as a Pokémon. On Day 90 of "Big?Brother", Kat was the 13th person to be evicted from the house. She finished in sixth place.
Simon Gross (Ugly Sister Jordan) came to national prominence with his shocking but highly entertaining attempts at cooking on ITV's "Hell's Kitchen", mentored by chefs Gary Rhodes and Jean Christoph Novelli.
