Headlong Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company's Rupert Goold will helm a stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE at London's Kensington Gardens. Previews begin May 8.
Open the door and enter a spectacular new world with Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy as they journey through the magical land of Narnia. This first installment from CS Lewis' beloved 'Chronicles of Narnia' series, it combines live theatre with Threesixty's ground-breaking surround video and enchanting puppetry performed in a state-of-the art theatre tent.
The show has been adapted for the stage by award-winning director Goold and directed by Rupert Goold and Michael Fentiman.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a fantasy novel for children by C. S. Lewis. Published in 1950 and set circa 1940, it is the first-published book of The Chronicles of Narnia and is the best known book of the series. Although it was written and published first, it is second in the series' internal chronological order, after The Magician's Nephew. Time magazine included the novel in its TIME 100 Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005. It has also been published in 47 foreign languages.
