Musical theatre songwriters Rob Eyles and RoBert Gould have penned a brand new Christmas song which they will release in December in aid of Cancer Research UK. "The Image Of A Child", which was recorded at Auburn Jam Music studio and at the Guildford School Of Acting by a stellar cast of West End and Off West End vocalists and an ensemble of students from GSA, has orchestrations by Scott Morgan and additional arrangements, recording, production and mixing by Joe Davison.

Rob Eyles is a graduate of The Guildford School of Acting who made his West End debut playing Ray in "Dreamboats & Petticoats and played the leading role of Jan in the English premiere of "14-18: A Spectacular Musical" . RoBert Gould's credits as lyricist and librettist include "My Land's Shore" (in collaboration with composer and co-lyricist Christopher J. Orton), which will be staged in February 2017 by All Star Productions at London's Ye Olde Rose And Crown Theatre. An album of songs with Gould's lyrics, "Words Shared With Friends", was nominated for a 2014 Broadwayworld Album Award as Best Compilation Album. Eyles and Gould began writing together in June 2014 and they staged two acclaimed concerts of their songs at The Pheasantry in 2015 and 2016. They are co-writers of the musical "A Pebble For Aaron" (a finalist for the inaugural MTA Stiles And Drewe Mentorship Award) and they are currently working on a musical based on the Grimm Brothers' fairytale, "The Wonderful Musician". Their debut album, "As Long As I Have Music" was released in June 2016.

The soloists featuring on the recording of "The Image Of A Child" are: Sabrina Aloueche (The Great American Trailer Park Musical, We Will Rock You, Les Miserables), Adam Bayjou (Les Miserables, Assassins, Love Story), Kieran Brown (The Phantom Of The Opera, Pipe Dream, Wicked, Love Never Dies), Rob Houchen (Titanic, Les Miserables, Godspell), Carolyn Maitland (Groundhog Day, Miss Saigon, From Here To Eternity, Kiss Me Kate), Kayleigh McKnight (Les Miserables, Starting Here Starting Now, Bend It Like Beckham), Michael Rees (Girlfriends), Emily Tierney (Ghost, Wicked, The Wizard Of Oz). The ensemble of GSA students includes: Hollie Aires, Jennifer Beverage, Sam Cain, Mary-Jean Caldwell, Will Carey, Darragh Cowley, Dom Groves, Michiel Janssens, Josh Zac Jenkins, Jaqui Kerschenbaum, Kirsten Mackie, Cameron McAllister, Dilz Millington, Maiya Quansah-Breed, Ally Retburg, Ellisha Slater, Annie Southall, Ed Tunningley, Shak G. Williams.

"The Image Of A Child" will be available to download on iTunes from December 1, 2016 and there will be a Just Giving Page created for further donations to be made to the worthy cause of Cancer Research UK.

"The spirit of the first Christmas calls out from distant ages.

Its simple truth speaks volumes in a world where hatred rages.

Let's all imagine the image of that new-born child, delicate and small.

Let's all remember the story that told of a birth welcomed by a star.

If we all think of that, maybe we can turn - before all our bridges burn -

To forgive and grow and learn to be much greater than we are".
