In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, stage and screen star Rebecca Hall chats about her return to the stage in TWELFTH NIGHT at The National Theatre. The Golden Globe nominated daughter of British director Peter Hall reveals: "My general rule is one piece of theatre for every three films. I think it's how to preserve one's mystique. I like disappearing, and I think I'll always do it."

Hall adds about working with her father,  "I haven't worked with my dad for seven years. Back then there was no reason than beyond wanting to prove myself. I was much more pugnacious; a little more f**k you world, I'm going to work with my dad'.

In 2003, Hall won the Ian Charleson Award for her debut stage performance in a production of Mrs. Warren's Profession. She has appeared in: The Prestige, Vicky Cristina Barcelona (for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category), and The Town.

On 6 June 2010, she won the Supporting Actress BAFTA for her portrayal of Paula Garland in the 2009 Channel 4 production Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1974.

Marton Csokas and Rebecca Hall co-star in the National Theatre's TWELFTH NIGHT as 'Orsino' and 'Viola,' respectively. The rest of the cast includes Simon Callow (Sir Toby Belch), Amanda Drew (Olivia), Simon Paisley Day (Malvolio), Charles Edwards (Aguecheek), Finty Williams (Maria), David Ryall (Feste), and Samuel James (Fabian).

The National Theatre stages over 20 theatre productions a year. These are put on in our three auditoriums - the Olivier, Lyttelton and Cottesloe Theatres - and in these three theatres, we present a mix of new plays and classics, with up to six productions in repertory at any one time.

You can buy theatre tickets online on their website (www.nationaltheatre.org.uk), or call our Box Office on 020 7452 3000.
