QUENTIN CRISP: NAKED HOPE Transfers from Edinburgh Fringe to the St. James Theatre Studio Tonight

Mark Farrelly's new solo show transfers direct from its Edinburgh Fringe premiere to London. Seabright Productions presents QUENTIN CRISP: NAKED HOPE, written and performed by Mark Farrelly and directed by Linda Marlowe. The show will open at the St. James Studio, London tonight 28 August 2014, 7pm.

From a conventional Surrey upbringing to international notoriety via The Naked Civil Servant, Quentin Crisp was an extraordinary raconteur and wit. This new solo performance shows Quentin both in his beloved Chelsea flat as the 1970s dawned, and in his final years in his adopted New York, with the new millennium beckoning.

The show draws on Quentin's own writing and performances in a new script by Mark Farrelly, who also performs. His West End credits include Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf (with Matthew Kelly), and he also appeared in a wide range of other plays across the UK and internationally. Mark is directed by the renowned Linda Marlowe, who has won awards for her own solo performances such as Berkoff's Women and The World's Wife.

Director Linda Marlowe has enjoyed widespread acclaim for her own solo work, including Berkoff's Women and The World's Wife, which both toured internationally and played West End seasons. An award-winning actor and director, she worked with Steven Berkoff over a 25-year period, playing leading ladies in his productions all over the world.
