Following last year's sell-out Summer With the Composers, SimG Productions is now introducing Jake Brunger & Pippa Cleary, Lindsey Miller, Chris Passey, and Joe Sterling - considered the next generation of British musical theatre writers!

Their work is going to be sung on Sunday March 25 at the Battersea Barge by a quartet of top West End performers - and we talked to Ben Stott, who's previously starred in Wicked and Into The Woods, about his involvement.

Hi Ben! How did you get involved with this show?

I recently workshopped a new musical version of Adrian Mole that Jake and Pippa are writing; it's brilliant and I had so much fun working with them - I fell totally in love with them and their work! Following this Jake suggested me to Simon Greiff [the show's producer] and he asked me if I'd like to do 'Easter with...' - I jumped at the chance!

What songs are you singing - and do you have a favourite?!

All the songs I'm performing are very different. For Jake and Pippa I'll be doing 'Intellectual Boy' from Adrian Mole which I'm really excited about as I didn't perform this song in the workshop and it's loads of fun but has real heart.

Chris has written a fantastic quartet called 'You Were Mine' that I'll be doing with everyone else, who I can't wait to work with.

For Lindsey I'm performing a really beautiful duet called 'Always Waiting', it's full of unanswered questions...and for and with Joe, we're doing a duet of his called 'Here We Are', a brilliant song that has loads of charm, I can't stop listening to it.

I'm so excited to be involved in Easter with the Composers - all the new work is brilliantly written, I'm gonna love performing it!

It's an evening that will spotlight some amazing new voices in musical theatre writing: they are the future and I can't wait to help showcase their work!

Easter With The Composers is at the Battersea Barge on Sunday March 25. Book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment!
