In advance of the opening tonight, we at BroadwayWorld have got our hands on some preview photographs of the SONG OF THE SEAGULL at the Menier Gallery.
Lindsey Crow, the young British soprano whose five-week adventure from Athens to Edinburgh using just classical singing as her only means of survival, won her the six-part Sky Arts TV series, The Art of Survival, is to play Nina in Song of the Seagull.
Based on real events and real characters, Song of the Seagull is a fictional musical drama adapted and directed by Linnie Reedman, with original music by Joe Evans.
It will get its world premiere in a new site specific production at The Menier Gallery (adjacent to and in the same building as The Menier Chocolate Factory) from Thursday March 15 - Saturday March 31.
The show stars Persia Lawson, Steven Clarke, Raphael Verrion, Nicholas Gauci, Max Krupski, Claire Monique Martin.
It will play around the art installation in the gallery, an event titled Water From The Moon.
