James Norton and Kate Fleetwood star in BUG, the tense and blackly comic play from award-winning writer Tracy Letts (August Osage County, Killer Joe) at Found111. Bug, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, is a taut exploration of two people on the edge, where the lines between reality and delusions become blurred.
A seedy motel room. Oklahoma City. Summer. Agnes, a lonely cocktail waitress, is holed-up from her violent ex-con ex-husband, seeking solace in drink and drugs. Until a stranger arrives.
James Norton is best known for War and Peace (BBC), Happy Valley (BBC) and Grantchester (ITV), while Kate Fleetwood's work includes London Road (NT), High Society (Old Vic) and Medea (Almeida). The cast also includes Alec Newman (The Motherf**ker With the Hat & Danton's Death, NT; King Lear, Donmar), Daisy Lewis (teacher Sarah Buntin in Downton Abbey) and Robert Goodale (Perfect Nonsense, Duke of York's; Dr Faustus, Shakespeare's Globe).
