Photo Flash: First Look at Simon Lipkin and More in Dr Seuss's THE LORAX at The Old Vic

Dr. Seuss's THE LORAX, directed by Max Webster and starring Simon Lipkin as the Lorax, alongside puppeteers Laura Cubitt and Ben Thompson and Simon Paisley Day as the Once-ler, is the third production in Matthew Warchus' opening season as Artistic Director of The Old Vic. The production opens tomorrow, December 16, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Inspired by Dr. Seuss's (The Cat In the Hat, How The Grinch Stole Christmas!) classic tale, THE LORAX tells of a moustachioed and cantankerous critter who's on a mission to protect the earth from the greedy, tree-chopping, Thneed-knitting businessman known only as The Once-ler.
Adapted by David Greig and brought to the stage by acclaimed director Max Webster (James And The Giant Peach, To Kill A Mockingbird, Twelfth Night) with music by Charlie Fink (Noah and the Whale), THE LORAX blends theatrical invention, songs by Charlie Fink (Noah and the Whale) and zany humour in a timely and vibrant Christmas show with a message that will speak to audiences of all ages.
