Breakfast At Tiffany's, the classic tale of Holly Golightly, written by Truman Capote and so memorably portrayed by Audrey Hepburn in the iconic 1961 film, is being given a new lease of life as a stage play with music in a sparkling, sophisticated production that visits the Lyceum Theatre, from tonight 18 - Saturday 22 October, starring Georgia May Foote in the role of Holly. Scroll down for a sneak peek at Foote in character!
Adapted by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony and Olivier award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg and directed by Nikolai Foster, this tale of vivacious, good-time girl Holly Golightly and her fantastical existence in 1940s New York City, is told through the eyes of a young writer, completely fascinated by this exquisite extrovert who every woman wants to be, and every man wants to be with.
Georgia May Foote, who proved to be a highly popular runner-up in last year's Strictly Come Dancing makes her professional stage debut as Holly Golightly. Her television credits include Katy Armstrong in Coronation Street, Gemma in This Is England '86 and Alison Simmons in Grange Hill.
Featuring memorable songs from the era, this stylish production is set to capture the hearts of audiences and glisten like a diamond in a Tiffany's window.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is directed by Nikolai Foster, with production design by Matthew Wright, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Mic Pool.
The cast also includes Matt Barber (Atticus Aldridge in Downton Abbey) as Fred, Victor McGuire (the sit-coms Trollied and Bread) as Joe Bell, Robert Calvert as Doc, Naomi Cranston as Mag, Charlie De Melo as José, Tim Frances as Rusty Trawler/Editor at 21, Andrew Joshi as Yunioshi, Melanie La Barrie as Mme Spanella, and David Cardy as OJ Berman/Dr Goldman, with Katy Allen and Andy Watkins.
