Today, Monday 8 March, in a welcome break from rehearsals for Billy Elliot the Musical's fifth birthday celebrations, four Billy Elliots - Dean-Charles Chapman (12 years old from Essex), Tom Holland (13 years old from Kingston upon Thames), Ollie Gardner (12 years old from Bath) and Fox Jackson-Keen (14 years old from Hornsey, London) - accepted an invitation to Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister.
The boys were taken on a tour of Downing Street where they met with Margaret Hodge MP, Minister for Culture and Tourism before meeting with Gordon Brown in the Cabinet Room. The boys then posed for photographs outside No. 10 before being taken on a tour of No. 11 Downing Street by Maggie Darling, wife of Chancellor Alistair Darling, where they had the opportunity to meet with the Chancellor as well as Peter Mandelson.
