'Ms.' is a brand new album of fourteen musical theatre songs inspired by women living with Multiple Sclerosis. Each song has been written by a different composer for a different West End actress. Created by Lyricist Rory Sherman based on blogs, autobiographies and interviews, he was inspired by his own family's connection to the disease. All proceeds from the album will go to The MS Society UK. The album is produced by SimGProductions and Rory Sherman and overseen by Musical Director Ellie Verkerk. It was paid for in kind donation by Richard O'Brien (Rocky Horror) following a failed Kickstarter campaign last year. Everyone has volunteered their time to create these honest portrayals of these women's lives through song. It's the hope that this project can help people understand people living with chronic illnesses. Multiple Sclerosis affects every sufferer differently. The songs explore that variety in symptoms but have been made relatable to people with other diseases and illnesses as well shown through the eyes of daughters, mothers, wives of/and MS sufferers as they live their daily lives.
Composers include: George Stiles, Sarah Travis, Brian Lowdermilk, Tamar Broadbent, Paul Boyd, Robert J. Sherman, Verity Quade, Eamonn O'Dwyer, Erin Murray Quinlan, Luke Di Somma, Amy Bowie, Robbie White, Gianni Onori and George Maguire.
