Rubber is performed in a real, moving car. So come and sit in the back seats of Jess and Tom's car, who're in a loving relationship. Right?
"Immersive theatre at its finest" (A Younger Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe 2016), this fly-on-the-wall experience puts the audience into the capable hands of Tom, who is driving Jess around for her first call of the day. Living in a society where they have turned to sex work just to pay the bills, how could things get worse for them? But when Tom's hidden truths come to light, the road gets bumpy.
'Rubber' explores the tough realities of emotional and physical dependencies that the millennial generation can be driven to by a world that they feel increasingly doesn't want them.
Following a 5*, sell-out run at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we are excited to bring 'Rubber' to the streets of London for the capital's largest arts festival - the VAULT Festival.
120 performances over 8 weeks.

About the Company: A group of university students, Pentire Street Productions was formed when the team began making independent work in film, theatre and education programmes. Pentire have enjoyed creating music videos, short films, and immersive theatre, as well as educational outreach projects such as our Schools' Film Festival. Over the past two years Pentire have worked with a wide range of creatives, produced both subsidised and commercial work at the Edinburgh Fringe and in London, and enjoyed bridging the gap between the student and professional industries.
