Molly Wobbly premiered in 2011 as a staged concert at Belfast's Lyric Theatre. In 2012 a festival-scale production opened at the Lyric and then ran at the Assembly Rooms throughout the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2014, the show was presented as a staged concert at the Phoenix Artist Club in London. Now Molly Wobbly finally gets a full London production with an all-star cast.
Cassie Compton (Jemma). Her West End roles include Nessarose in Wicked, Elizabeth in Dirty Dancing, Eponine in LES MISERABLES, Mary Lennox in the RSC's The Secret Garden and Ramona in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down the Wind.
Stephanie Fearon (Ruth) made her West End debut aged 10 in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down The Wind. She became a household name in 2010 reaching the semi-finals of the BBC 1 TV talent show Over the Rainbow, in which Andrew Lloyd Webber searched for an actress to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium. Her subsequent starring roles include Smokey Joe's Cafe at the Landor Theatre, Dorothy in a UK tour of The Wizard of Oz and playing Diana Morales in A Chorus Line, directed by Baayork Lee (the original Broadway Connie Wong) at the Tel Aviv Opera House, Israel.
Jane Milligan (Margaret) is the daughter of Spike Milligan. Her West End roles include Mamma Mia! She was in Return to the Forbidden Planet and played Viv's mother in Spend Spend Spend at the Watermill Theatre.
Conleth Kane (Jake) is an original cast member of Molly Wobbly. He was Lefou in the UK & intenational tour of Disney's Beauty and the Beast and the Scarecrow in the RSC version of The Wizard of Oz in Belfast.
Christopher Finn (Robbie) is an original cast member of Molly Wobbly. His other musical roles include the title role in the all-male Iolanthe at the Union Theatre, Quasimodo in Paul Boyd's Hunchback the Musical and Jack in Paul Boyd's
Tinseltown.
Ashley Knight (Malcolm) played Louis Walsh in I Can't Sing at the London Palladium. His other West End musicals include Ghost, She Loves Me and Grand Hotel.
Alan Richardson (Kitten) was Phyllis in the all-male Iolanthe at Union Theatre and Wilton's Music Hall and Mabel in the all-male Pirates of Penzance at Wilton's Music Hall.
Russell Morton (Ithanku) is an original cast member of Molly Wobbly. He was Toni in the musical Sweet Smell of Success at Arcola Theatre and Lucien/Theo in Piaf at Leicester's Curve Theatre.
Paul Boyd (Original Book, Music, and Lyrics / Director) is the multi award-nominated writer and composer of 21 stage musicals. While a theatre student at University of Ulster, Paul's first musical, the comedy Macbeth The Musical was spotted by a producer and remounted for a run at Northern Ireland's Riverside Theatre from where it transferred to Belfast's Group Theatre for the 1992 Belfast Festival. Hansel & Grettel has since become one of Paul's most produced shows and gone on to enjoy professional productions around the world, All Wired Up won the coveted Greer Garson Theatre Award for Best New Play, and Murder Most Probably was named Best Serial at the Bloscar Awards when it was serialised online for its 10th anniversary in 2006. Northern Ireland's Theatre at The Mill commissioned and produced Paul's Hunchback The Musical in 2013 and has just premiered Paul's 21st stage musical, the Christmas fantasy Tinseltown.
