PRISCILLA Welcomes Don Gallagher, Celebrates First B-day & Goes Global

Based on the Oscar® award-winning film, Priscilla tells the story of Tick (Jason Donovan), Bernadette (Tony Sheldon) and Adam (Oliver Thornton), a glamorous Sydney-based performing trio that agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback.

Priscilla Queen Of the Desert The Musical is a heart-warming, uplifting adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus (nicknamed Priscilla) searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed. With a dazzling array of outrageous costumes and featuring a score of dance-floor classics, this new musical is a sensational journey to the heart of fabulous.

PRISCILLA WELCOMES A NEW CAST
From 8 March Jason Donovan (Tick) and Oliver Thornton (Adam) will be joined by Don Gallagher as Bernadette.

Don Gallagher's musical stage roles include Roger de Bris in The Producers, Javert in Les Miserables and Pierre Guerre in Martin Guerre, all in the West End. His other stage credits include His Dark Materials and Stuff Happens for the National Theatre and Henry IV parts 1 & 2, Painter of Dishonour and Back to Methuselah for the Royal Shakespeare Company. On television his many credits include Poirot, Casualty, Miss Marple, Hancock and Joan, Victoria and Albert, Sea of Souls and Ballet Shoes.

The new cast, from 8 March 2010, includes Jason Donovan continuing to sparkle in his spangly heels as Mitzi/Tick along with the devilishly handsome Oliver Thornton as the mischievous Felicia/Adam and welcoming Don Gallagher as Bernadette. These three dazzling performers will be joined by John Bowe as Bob, Portia Emare, Emma Lindars and Charlotte Riby as the three Divas, Newley Aucutt as Miss Understanding, Yvette Robinson as Marion, Steven Cleverley as Farrah and Young Bernadette, Daniele Coombe as Shirley, Tristan Temple as Jimmy, Kanako Nakano as Cynthia and John Brannoch as Frank, and Completing the company are Christopher Drake, Amy Edwards, Amy Field, Hugo Harold Harrison, Luke Jackson, Hayley Jayne Langwith, Callum Nicol, Zabrina Norry, Will Peaco, John Phoenix, James Rees, Jeremy Secomb, Robert Styles, John Tsouras and Matt Wesley.

Tony Sheldon continues in the role of Bernadette until 6 March. Tony recently celebrated 1,000 Priscilla performances in Australia, New Zealand and now London.

PRISCILLA'S FIRST BIRTHDAY
Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical will celebrate a year in the West End on 23 March 2010 having completed over 425 performances at the Palace Theatre. Priscilla has already been seen by more than 360,000 people with a standing ovation at every performance. The cast have got through 720 lipsticks, 12 kilos of glitter make up and over 50,000 ping pong balls!

PRISCILLA RIDES INTO 2011!
Booking for Priscilla has now been extended through to 26 February 2011.

PRISCILLA'S SUMMER SUNDAY PERFORMANCES
Over the summer (6 June - 5 September 2010) there will be Sunday performances at 3pm. Here are the performance schedules:

Monday - Saturday at 7.30pm
Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm

From 6 June - 5 September 2010
Tuesday - Saturday at 7.30pm
Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm
Sundays at 3pm

PRISCILLA GOES GLOBAL
Plans are well underway for a Toronto production to open in October 2010 with plans for a Broadway run in early 2011. With further productions planned in Brazil, Scandinavia and Germany, Priscilla's adventure has only just begun!
