Peter Pan, who has returned home for the first time in over 100 years with a new production of JM Barrie's "PETER PAN" being performed in a one million pound purpose-built theatre tent in Kensington Gardens, is so successful that already its run has been extended to the end of the Kensington Gardens season. Due to the triumph that is "PETER PAN", many of the performances in the current booking period are sold out. The extra performances are from 1 - 13 September and these are now on sale.

The extended run of "PETER PAN" in London is prior to a major 12-month North American visit, which will commence in Chicago in May 2010. A second production (and completely new) will open a Far Eastern tour in New Zealand starting in Auckland in January 2011. True to George Bernard Shaw's description of "Peter Pan": "Ostensibly a holiday entertainment for children but really a play for grown-up people," this play for families has proved to be an enormous success with adults in their own right.

This new production of "PETER PAN", written by Tanya Ronder, is directed by Ben Harrison and designed by William Dudley. The cast is headed by Ciaran Kellgren playing ‘Peter Pan', Abby Ford ‘Wendy Darling', Jonathan Hyde ‘Captain Hook/Mr Darling', Karen Ascoe ‘Mrs Darling' and Itxaso Moreno ‘Tinkerbell', with Arthur Wilson as ‘John Darling' and David Poynor as ‘Michael Darling'.

The Kensington Garden Theatre is situated between West Carriage Drive and the Long Water, located in the North East of Kensington Gardens near Lancaster Gate Tube Station. The state-of-the-Art Theatre tent seats 1,100 people and is 100% rain proof. The site includes bar, restaurant and picnic facilities.

Until the end of August, and for the current booking period, performance times are Tuesdays - Saturdays at 7.30pm, with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.00pm and Sunday matinees at 3.00pm. For the booking period and the extension from 1 - 13 September, performance times will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7.30pm, with 2.00pm matinees on 1, 2, 5, 8, 10 & 12 September and Sunday performances on 6 & 13 September at 12.30pm and 4.30pm. Ticket prices are £22.50, £32.50, £42.50 and £47.50, with various concessions for children, schools and groups and are available from www.visitlondon.com/peterpan or on 0871 386 1122.

By arrangement with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and Samuel French Limited, this production of "PETER PAN" is produced by Charlie Burnell and Mat Churchill for ThreeSixty Entertainment Ltd.
