Peppa Pig's Party, which has been on a sell-out tour since last year, moves into the Criterion Theatre for Christmas, previewing from Tuesday 30 November, with a West End Launch on Thursday 2 December at 2.30pm. The West End run will continue until Saturday 2 January 2011. With Peppa Pig's Party playing daytime performances only, the West End hit comedy The 39 Steps will continue to play at the venue during this period, its usual schedule of shows unchanged.

Peppa Pig's Party has been delighting young fans since its opening performances on 30 September 2009 and has been selling out in venues across the UK. With additional performances being added in many theatres during the tour, the production will have visited 78 venues in the UK and Ireland by the time it reaches the West End. The tour will continue after the West End run.
Peppa Pig is a BAFTA award-winning children's TV show. Peppa is a playful little pig who lives with her little brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Through everyday adventures she plays games, makes new friends and enjoys her absolutely favourite activity - jumping up and down in muddy puddles. Peppa Pig's Party recreates this highly popular television series for the stage, featuring beautifully true-to-life puppets, and takes place on a very special day. It is Peppa's birthday and a chance for all her young friends to join in the fun, with Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog and Emily Elephant. This charming, original and imaginative show for pre-school children is full of brand new songs.

Richard Lewis, co-producer of Peppa Pig's Party, commented: "Peppa has been celebrating her birthday with boys and girls all over the country and she just doesn't want to stop - that's why Peppa, George and lots of her friends are coming to the West End for Christmas!"

Peppa Pig's Party has been adapted and directed by Richard Lewis, whose many children's stage shows include Fimbles and two LazyTown tours. The music is composed by Mani Svavarsson (LazyTown), and the puppetry consultant is Nigel Plaskitt, whose many credits include Monkey in the award-winning PG Tips commercials, Spitting Image and the West End show Avenue Q. Nigel has made the puppets for Peppa Pig's Party with ex-Jim Henson Company puppet-builder, Paul Jomain.

Peppa Pig's Party is produced by Fiery Angel and Limelight Productions, who together were also responsible for the recent tours of LazyTown Live! , Roald Dahl's The BFG, and Fimbles Live!. Fiery Angel also produces The 39 Steps.
