Olivier Awards Nominations to be Broadcast Live March 15

The nominations for the Laurence Olivier Awards will be broadcast live via the Olivier Awards website at 12pm on March the 15th, 2012. The Society of London Theatre will announce the nominees at an event in the Mayfair Hotel in London.
The winners will be announced on the 15th of April at the Royal Opera House, where stars of stage and screen, along with distinguished guests from the arts and culture scene, will come together in an evening of award-giving and incredible, specially-created entertainment, hosted by Sweeney Todd stars Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton.
The Olivier Awards were inaugurated in 1976 as the Society of West End Theatre Awards. The society is now known as the Society of London Theatre (SOLT) and its glittering awards are now the Laurence Olivier Awards in honour of the theatrical legend.
