New Dates Added for RENT at World's Oldest Mechanical Paper Mill

Vivo D'Arte's five-star promenade production of Jonathan Larson's RENT at the world's oldest mechanical paper mill have announced an extension of its successful and well-received production.

After a initial sold-out run, the production, described by Peter Yates at LondonTheatre1 as 'a wonder to behold' and a 'magical and joyous production filled with emotion' by Greg Stewart at Theatre Weekly, Vivo D'Arte extends performances at the 19th-century Victorian building for an additional week.

Cast includes Connor Dyer (Parade) as Mark Cohen with Aran MacRae (Bat Out of Hell) as Roger Davis. Lizzie Emery as Mimi Marquez, Casey Bird as Maureen Johnson, Andrew Rawlinson-Heath as Angel Dumott Schunard, Natalie Winsor as Joanne Jefferson and Benjamin Froehlich as Tom Collins.

Loosely based on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's award-winning musical follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished artists struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. It features the songs "Take Me Or Leave Me", "Seasons of Love" and "La Vie Boheme".

The rest of the cast includes Daniel Mack Shand, Ben Hutt, Iona Crampton, Gabbrielle Jones, Ruby Young, Danielle Cross, Megan Ellis, Rebecca Brough, Harriet Doyle, Mia Yuill, Chris Gannon and Eva Solange Bortalis.

Produced and Directed by Dan Cowtan, the promenade event was originally scheduled to be staged at the Frogmore Paper Mill in Apsley for a limited time but will extend its run from the 24 to 27 July.
