Netflix Drama THE CROWN Tops 2017 BAFTA Television Awards; Full List

This morning, nominations for the BAFTA TELEVISION AWARDS were announced. The honors are considered the equivalent of THE EMMY AWARDS in the U.S. Topping the list was Netflix's THE CROWN. The hit drama series received five nominations, including nods for cast members Claire Foy, JaREd Harris, John Lithgow and Vanessa Kirby. Also earning multiple awards were the comedy FLEABAG and the drama series HAPPY VALLEY.

Other nominations went to BBC Two's miniseries The Hollow Crown: The Wars Of The Roses and to its Leading Actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Among the International Series nominations were HBO's The Night Of, FX's The People V OJ Simpson: AMERICAN CRIME Story, Netflix's Stranger Things and Amazon's Transparent.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at London's Royal Festival Hall on May 14th. A full list of nominations follows:
